Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Limerick 3D Print (“Limerick3D”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit limerick3d.com, contact us, or buy from our online shop. We are a 3D printing business based in Limerick, Ireland.

Who is responsible for your data

Limerick 3D Print, the operator of limerick3d.com, is responsible (the “controller”) for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at any time by email: info@limerick3d.com.

What personal data we collect

  • Order information – when you place an order: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), billing and delivery address, Eircode, the products you order, the delivery or local-pickup option you choose, and any order notes you add.
  • Payment information – payments are processed by our payment providers (see below). We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Account information – if you create a customer account: your login details and order history.
  • Messages and quote requests – when you contact us through the contact form on our website (name, email address and message) or by email, including any files or designs you choose to send us.
  • Technical and usage data – such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and how you arrived on our site. Analytics and advertising data is only collected through cookies if you give consent (see “Cookies” below).

Why we use your data and our legal basis

  • To process and fulfil your order – including payment, printing, delivery or local pickup, and customer service. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To answer enquiries and quote requests. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the website and payments secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interests and those of our payment providers.
  • To keep business, tax and accounting records. Legal basis: compliance with legal obligations.
  • Website statistics (Google Analytics) – to understand how our website is used and improve it. Legal basis: your consent.
  • Advertising measurement (Meta) – to measure the results of our Facebook/Instagram advertising and to show relevant ads. Legal basis: your consent.

Payments

Card payments, Apple Pay and Google Pay are processed by WooPayments, which is provided by Automattic and powered by Stripe. “Pay later” payments are provided by Klarna through WooPayments. These providers receive the information needed to process your payment and to prevent fraud, and process it under their own privacy policies. Stripe may place cookies that are necessary for fraud prevention and secure payments.

Our online shop (WooCommerce)

Our shop runs on WooCommerce on our own website. WooCommerce uses cookies that are necessary for the cart and checkout to work. WooCommerce order attribution records how a visitor arrived at our site (for example from a search engine or social media) so that we can see which channels lead to orders.

Google Analytics and Google Site Kit

We use Google Analytics 4, installed through Google Site Kit, to compile website statistics. Google Analytics only sets its cookies after you consent to statistics cookies. We use Google Consent Mode: until you consent, Google receives only limited, cookieless signals that do not identify you. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards. More information: Google Privacy Policy.

Meta Pixel, Conversions API and Advanced Matching

We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API (through the “Meta for WooCommerce” plugin) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. They record events such as page views, product views, adding a product to the cart, starting checkout and purchases, together with details such as the product and order value.

The Meta Pixel runs in your browser; the Conversions API sends the same events from our website’s server to Meta. Both are used only if you consent to marketing cookies. Without that consent, the Meta Pixel does not load and our website asks the plugin to hold these events.

Where you have consented, we also use Meta’s Advanced Matching: customer information you provide to us, such as your email address, phone number, name and address, may be sent to Meta in hashed (encrypted) form so that Meta can match website events to Meta accounts for advertising measurement. Meta processes this data under its own terms and may process it outside the European Economic Area. More information: Meta Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the website, cart, checkout and payment security, and — only with your consent — cookies for statistics and marketing. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept, deny or choose categories. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Manage consent” option on the site or on our Cookie Policy page, which lists the cookies we use.

Who we share your data with

  • Payment providers: WooPayments (Automattic), Stripe and Klarna – to process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Google – website statistics, only with your consent.
  • Meta Platforms – advertising measurement, only with your consent.
  • Our website hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores our website and its data on our behalf.
  • Delivery services, where your order is shipped, receive the details needed to deliver it.
  • Authorities or professional advisers where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above. Order and payment records are kept for as long as required for our tax and accounting obligations. Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-up. Cookie data is kept for the periods listed in our Cookie Policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already carried out. To exercise these rights, email info@limerick3d.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, services or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
